Top 10 Graphic Novels! (umm, maybe Top 14)

So it’s nice to see that graphic novels are finally starting to take their place in the pantheon of literature. Here’s my list, in no particular order, of the best. In my opinion, you should run to your local library or book store and begin reading all of these.

Series:

1. Ex Machina - Brian K. Vaughn

2. Invincible - Robert Kirkman

3. Concrete - Paul Chadwick

4. Hellboy - Mike Mignola

5. Powers - Brian Michael Bendis

6. So Smart in Their Fine Uniforms - Kurt Busiek

7. Y: The Last Man - Brian K. Vaughn

8. Fables - Bill Willingham

Single Shots:

1. Watchmen - Alan Moore

2. Creature Tech - Doug TenNapel

3. Blankets - Craig Thompson

4. Sin City - Frank Miller - Not exactly a 1 shot, but not a series-series per se)

5. The Rabbi's Cat - Joann Sfar

6. Our Cancer Year/American Splendor - Harvey Pekar

7. Blue Pills - Frederick Peeters

There are probably some that I’m forgetting, but that’s a pretty good list to start.
